Grand Chapter Leadership Team Overview

The Grand Chapter Leadership Team serves as the guiding body for The Society of Our Sacred Honor at the national level. Comprised of dedicated and visionary leaders, this team is responsible for upholding the organization’s mission, core values, and strategic direction. The team oversees the development and implementation of national initiatives, ensures alignment across all State and Local Chapters, and acts as stewards of The Society’s traditions and future growth.
In addition to providing strategic guidance, the Grand Chapter Leadership Team supports the operations of State and Local Chapters by offering resources, training, and mentorship. They foster collaboration, unity, and innovation within The Society while building bridges with strategic partners and community organizations nationwide. Their collective leadership drives the success of the AmeriCare Initiatives—America Remember, America Rethink, and America Renew—while ensuring The Society of Our Sacred Honor remains a powerful force for civic engagement, patriotism, and community revitalization.

1. Grand Chapter (National) President (CEO)

Role: The Grand Chapter President serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Society of Our Sacred Honor. As the highest-ranking leader, the President is responsible for overseeing the organization’s operations and ensuring that the mission, vision, and values of SOSH are upheld across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Provide strategic leadership and direction for the national organization.
⦁ Serve as the public face of SOSH, representing the organization at national events and key engagements.
⦁ Set organizational goals and monitor progress toward achieving the Big Hairy Audacious Goals (BHAGs).
⦁ Oversee the work of the Grand Chapter’s leadership team and ensure alignment with SOSH’s mission.
⦁ Work closely with the Grand Chapter Vice President, Directors, Ambassadors, and Team to execute strategies and national initiatives.
⦁ Engage with government, media, and partners to advance SOSH’s objectives.

2. Grand Chapter First Vice President (COO)

Role: The Grand Chapter First Vice President functions as the Chief Operating Officer (COO), responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the organization and ensuring that all national initiatives are executed effectively.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Oversee the operational aspects of the organization, including program implementation and event coordination.
⦁ Support the Persident in executing the strategic plan and leading the Grand Chapter team.
⦁ Ensure that Local and State Chapters are supported and operationally effective.
⦁ Coordinate with various department heads to monitor progress and resource allocation.
⦁ Step in to lead in the absence of the President, ensuring continuity of operations.

3. Chief Chapter Development Officer (CCDO)

Role: The Chief Chapter Development Officer is responsible for expanding and developing new Local and State Chapters, supporting growth through leadership development, and ensuring that new chapters align with SOSH’s mission and vision.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Develop and implement strategies for the creation and expansion of Chapters nationwide.
⦁ Work with local leadership to ensure effective development, chartering, and support of new Chapters.
⦁ Create leadership development programs and training for new Chapter leaders.
⦁ Provide guidance and resources to support the growth and success of newly established Chapters.

4. Chief Treasurer (CFO)

Role: The Chief Treasurer serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), overseeing the financial health of SOSH and ensuring transparency, accountability, and strategic financial planning.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Manage the national budget, including revenue from fundraising, merchandise sales, and donations.
⦁ Ensure financial sustainability by monitoring expenditures, forecasting revenue, and overseeing grant disbursements.
⦁ Lead all fundraising efforts, working closely with the leadership team to plan and execute national fundraising campaigns.
⦁ Work with the Grand Chapter leadership to allocate funds to Local Chapters, grants, scholarships, and operational needs.
⦁ Provide financial reports to the President and Vice President on a regular basis.

5. Grand Chapter Director of Membership

Role: The Grand Chapter Membership Director is responsible for managing membership growth, retention, and engagement, ensuring that all Members feel connected to the organization and its mission.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Develop and implement strategies to grow the national membership base.
⦁ Coordinate membership drives and onboarding programs for new Members.
⦁ Track membership data and analyze trends to improve retention and engagement.
⦁ Ensure that Members are kept happy, informed, and equipped with necessary resources.
⦁ Create resources to keep members informed, including newsletters and regular updates on SOSH activities.

6. Grand Chapter Director of Events, Programs, and Activities (FUN!)

Role: The Director of Events, Programs, and Activities leads the planning and execution of national events, programs, and initiatives, ensuring that SOSH offers engaging, mission-aligned activities for Members across the country.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Plan and manage National and State Conventions, key annual events that bring Members together for leadership development, networking, and celebration of the mission.
⦁ Coordinate national events such as conferences, celebrations, and community service days.
⦁ Collaborate with Local and State Chapters to develop event concepts and provide logistical support.
⦁ Ensure that all programs are aligned with the AmeriCare Initiatives (America Remember, America Rethink, America Renew).
⦁ Coordinate with external vendors, venues, and partners for event logistics.

7. Grand Chapter Director of Strategy and Innovation (Forward Thinking)

Role: The Director of Strategy and Innovation is responsible for driving forward-thinking initiatives and developing strategies to ensure that SOSH stays relevant, innovative, and effective in fulfilling its mission.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Develop long-term strategies that support the BHAGs and ensure the sustainable growth of SOSH.
⦁ Identify and implement innovative approaches to achieve SOSH’s goals and enhance its impact.
⦁ Lead strategic planning sessions and work closely with department heads to align innovation with core objectives.
⦁ Monitor national trends, challenges, and opportunities, ensuring SOSH adapts to meet future needs.

8. Grand Chapter Director of Information Technology (IT)

Role: The Director of Information Technology oversees all technological aspects of SOSH, ensuring that the organization’s digital presence, internal systems, and communication platforms are robust and secure.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Manage SOSH’s digital infrastructure, including the website, online store, and member database.
⦁ Ensure cybersecurity protocols are in place to protect sensitive member data and financial information.
⦁ Oversee IT support for national and regional events, ensuring smooth technological operations.
⦁ Manage social media platforms, working with the Communications team to ensure a consistent digital presence and engagement.
⦁ Provide guidance on implementing new technologies to improve efficiency and communication within SOSH.

9. Grand Chapter Press Secretary (Public Relations)

Role: The Grand Chapter Press Secretary manages all public relations and communication efforts for SOSH, ensuring a consistent and effective public message.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Serve as the primary spokesperson for SOSH, managing media relations and public announcements.
⦁ Draft press releases, speeches, and public statements for the Commander and leadership team.
⦁ Develop and implement communication strategies to promote SOSH’s mission, events, and initiatives.
⦁ Advise and counsel State and Local Chapters on handling media inquiries and interactions to ensure consistent messaging across the organization.
⦁ Coordinate with media outlets and manage press coverage of national events.

10. Grand Chapter Ambassadors (Field Representatives)

Role: Grand Chapter Ambassadors are field representatives responsible for grassroots efforts, Platoon expansion, and community engagement. They play a critical role in connecting with local leaders and helping establish new Chapters.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Travel to regions across the country to support the development of new Local Chapters.
⦁ Work with local communities to raise awareness about SOSH and its mission.
⦁ Provide hands-on assistance to newly established Chapters, helping with recruitment, leadership development, and event planning.
⦁ Act as a liaison between the national leadership and Local Chapters, ensuring communication and support.

11. Grand Chapter Office Manager

Role: The Grand Chapter Office Manager ensures that the day-to-day operations of SOSH’s national office run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Manage administrative tasks, including office logistics, supplies, and scheduling.
⦁ Assist with the preparation and distribution of Chapter Kits (Chapter Boxes) to newly established Platoons, ensuring that Local Chapters have the resources they need to succeed.
⦁ Support the management of the Membership database, ensuring accurate tracking and updates of all Members.
⦁ Provide support to the leadership team with document preparation, correspondence, and meeting coordination.
⦁ Assist with event planning and logistical support for national meetings and conferences.

12. Grand Chapter Executive Assistant

Role: The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support to the Grand Chapter President and Team, ensuring that their schedules, communications, and priorities are managed effectively.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Manage the President’s calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
⦁ Draft correspondence, prepare presentations, and assist with meeting preparation.
⦁ Serve as a liaison between the President and other members of the leadership team.
⦁ Handle confidential matters and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
⦁ Act as the right-hand person to the President, providing strategic support and helping to execute high-level decisions.
⦁ Assist in special projects and initiatives as directed by the President.
