4 Organizational Structure
SOSH is a structured organization with three main tiers: National, State, and Local Chapters. Each Chapter plays a crucial role in the overall operation of the Society and provides opportunities for leadership, service, and engagement.
Grand Chapter (National)
The Grand Chapter serves as the supreme governing body of SOSH. It is led by the President, who provides strategic oversight for the entire organization. The Grand Chapter is responsible for issuing charters to State and Local Chapters, managing national initiatives, and setting the overall direction of SOSH.
- The Grand Chapter hosts national conventions, coordinates large-scale events, and manages key resources, including the SOSH website and national campaigns.
- Patriots in Local Platoons are automatically members of the First Platoon and can participate in national events and decision-making processes.
State Chapters
Each state has a designated State Chapter, which operates as the intermediary between the Grand Chapter and Local Chapters within the state. Led by the State Governor, State Chapters provide guidance, support, and resources to Local Chapters and work to ensure that state-level initiatives align with national goals.
- State Chapters host state conventions and regional events and oversee state-specific programs.
- Patriots/Members in a Local Chapter are also members of their State Chapter and are encouraged to participate in state-level initiatives and events.
Local Society Chapters
Local Chapters form the grassroots foundation of SOSH. These Chapters are community-based groups that operate in schools, cities, or organizations. Each Local Chapter is led by a Chapter Chair and supported by an Executive Committee.
- Local Chapters meet regularly to discuss initiatives, organize events, and engage in community service projects. They also participate in the national AmeriCare Initiatives (America Remember, America Rethink, America Renew).
- Local Chapters are critical to engaging citizens on the ground, fostering civic engagement, and building strong community relationships.
